The dataset contains information on the abundance of hollow bearing trees in the Karawatha Peri-Urban site recorded from between 2006 and 2009. There is information on the tree species name, diameter at breast height, tree alive status, and a number of attributes related to the hollows, such as its location, height, length, width and the type.
This record contains information on surveys of koala activity for 33 one-hectare plots in Karawatha Forest Park during the period October 2009 to January 2010. The data set contains Koala presence/absence from individual trees in the study plots. In addition, information on tree species identification, stem diameter at breast height for each individual, distance of tree from transect and Koala activity level have been documented.
The record contains information on the moth assemblages at canopy and ground level at five sites within a 25 ha plot, at Robson Creek Site, Far North Queensland. Data on moth taxonomic information and the number of individuals sampled from the ground and canopy are provided for the sampling years, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The data set contains information on the Habitat structure of the Karawatha Peri-urban site, southeast Queensland. There are two data sets: 1) information on Canopy cover percentage from the study plots and 2) information on the Ground cover properties such as the number of hits/strikes of the 'bare ground', 'rock', 'herbs', 'grass', 'shrubs', 'trees' and 'cwd', along each transect in the core plot.
The record contains information on mammal captures from the Karawatha forest park in South East Queensland, Karawatha in the year 2010. Data on the number of captures of mammal species and the type of trap used for captures are provided.
Elevation, aspect and slope of 33 one-hectare plots in Karawatha Peri-Urban site in 2007.
The record contains information on the annual fire history of 33 one-hectare plots in Karawatha Forest Park, Karawatha Peri-Urban Site, South-East Queensland. The plots are at 500 m intervals in a grid that covers the entire Park. Each plot follows the elevational contour and is 250 m long x 40 m wide. The data presented is on fire event history for each plot for the years 2000 to 20006, time since fire in each plot and the average frequency of fires in each plot per year.
