Derived by forming 0.01 degree local averages of grid values from the GEODATA 9 second DEM version 3 (Hutchinson et al. 2008).

This is used to support spatial modelling of precipitation and related surface processes that have a coarser resolution interaction with surface topography (Sharples et al. 2005). Derived by calculating a 0.05 degree DEM consisting of 0.05 degree local averages of values from the GEODATA 9 second DEM version 3 (Hutchinson et al. 2008). These 0.05 degree grid values were then smoothly resampled to 0.01 degree resolution using biquadratic spline interpolation.

Information on soil C:N, N:P and C:P ratios and soil pH and organic matter content are provided. Soil elemental composition such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, sulphur, iron, manganese, boron, aluminum, copper, zinc, lead, chromium, and cadmium are also provided. In addition, the data set contains information on soil δ<sup>13</sup>C and δ<sup>15</sup>N isotope concentration.

    <p>This dataset is part of the OzTreeMap project and provides two new 30 m spatial resolution canopy height products for continental Australia: the best-pick canopy height model (pick-CHM) and the median canopy height model (med-CHM). Both products represent estimates of vegetation canopy height across Australia and were developed to improve the accuracy and consistency of existing large-scale canopy height models, which were generated by researchers to represent canopy heights from variable time periods ranging from 2007 until 2020. The best-pick and median products are composites and derive from an extensive validation of the 4 original CHMs.</p> Each product is provided as a single-band GeoTIFF raster in the Australian Albers (EPSG:3577) coordinate reference system, with 30 m spatial resolution and float32 data type. These datasets support applications in forest structure monitoring, carbon accounting, and ecosystem assessment across Australia.

    The far north Queensland microclimate (FNQ-microclim) is an ongoing long-term microclimate monitoring project from across five tropical rainforest sites (Daintree Rainforest SuperSite, Cape Tribulation; Daintree Rainforest SuperSite, Cow Bay; Rex Range; Mt. Lewis National Park; and Mt. Bellenden Ker), located within an elevation range of 40 - 1550 m a.s.l. Microclimate parameters include: a) air temperature (about 15 cm above ground), b) near surface temperature at the interface between soil and air (less than 1 cm above ground), c) top soil temperature (about 8 cm below ground), and d) top soil moisture (up to 10 cm below ground). Data are recorded every 15 minutes using the TMS-4 sensors (Temperature Moisture Sensor, T.M.O.S.T s.r.o, Prague, Czech Republic).
