This dataset contains records of vascular plant species from selected TERN AusPlots in South Australia. Preparation from raw data involved extraction of all vouchered species from the plots, the removal of intra-specific taxa (only genus and species used to define individual taxa) and removal of duplicate records and those not determined to species. Species list has been appended in this record.

The dataset catalogue information about research or management projects that have used remote devices to record behavioural, physiological or environmental data from free-ranging animals. The purpose of this dataset is to act as a conduit by which animal telemetry data, ideas, analysis and statistical tools may be shared between interested parties throughout Australasia. The animal telemetry projects collated in this dataset have been collated from peer-reviewed scientific papers published between 2000 and 2013. This represents the first-step in the creation of an Australasian focused database for animal telemetry research and management projects. If you have undertaken a telemetry project and it is not listed here, whether the study findings have been published or not, then please send details about the study to the dataset contact person. If applicable, the details will be incorporated. These data were compiled as part of the ACEAS working group project titled "Advancing the application of animal telemetry data in ecosystem management".

The dataset provides information on the Specific Leaf Area (SLA) measurements of the species Dodonaea viscosa from the TERN AusPlots.

This record is a comprehensive list of vascular plant species from the Biological Survey of South Australia. Preparation from raw data obtained via the Advanced Ecological Knowledge and Observation System (AEKOS; now deprecated) data portal involved the selection of data fields, the removal of intraspecific taxa (only genus and species used to define individual taxa) and removal of duplicate records and those not determined to species.

The data set contains information on leaf 13C isotope composition studied on three species, Maireana sedifolia, Ptilotus obovatus and Eremophila scoparia from the core 1 ha Salmon Gum plot at the Credo, Great Western Woodland site.

The data set contains information on Camera Trap Fauna Survey conducted in the Samford Peri-urban Site in 2017. Information on the camera trap site location, height, observation time, species identification and related field remarks have been presented in this data set.

Wood block decomposition assessment at the Gingin Banksia Woodland site is part of a global program looking at the influence of microbes and invertebrates on wood decay. A common protocol was developed exposing small (~400 cm3) pieces of a wood-substrate (untreated Pinus radiata) to the environment excluding and not-excluding macroinvertebrates (e.g. termites) by the use of a plastic mesh.

Wood block decomposition assessment at the Warra Tall Eucalypt site is part of a global program looking at the influence of microbes and invertebrates on wood decay. A common protocol was developed exposing small (~400 cm3) pieces of a wood-substrate (untreated Pinus radiata) to the environment excluding and not-excluding macroinvertebrates (e.g. termites) by the use of a plastic mesh.

Samford Peri-Urban Site, Ecosystem Water Use, Influence of Vegetation Type and Topography, 2011-2014
The data set contains information on the soil water content at various depths in the Samford Ecological Research Facility (SERF), Samford Peri-Urban Site. Information on soil water content is provided from two sensors, i.e., 1) Sentek Solo, for high frequency sampling and 2) Sentek Diviner, for coarser resolution sampling.

The dataset contains information on the abundance of hollow bearing trees in the Karawatha Peri-Urban site recorded from between 2006 and 2009. There is information on the tree species name, diameter at breast height, tree alive status, and a number of attributes related to the hollows, such as its location, height, length, width and the type.
