Terrestrial laser scans were acquired in native Eucalypt Open Forest (dry sclerophyll Box-Ironbark forest) in Victoria, Australia. Two plots (RUSH06 and RUSH07) with a 40 m radius were established in Rushworth forest and partially harvested in May 2012 to acquire accurate estimates of above-ground biomass. The main tree species in these plots were Eucalyptus leucoxylon, Eucalyptus microcarpa and Eucalyptus tricarpa. Single trees were extracted from the TLS data and quantitative structure models were used to estimate the tree volume directly from the point cloud data. Above-ground biomass (AGB) was inferred from the derived volumes and basic wood density information, and compared with estimates of above-ground biomass derived from allometric equations and destructive sampling. This data contains biomass from sub-tropical pasture vegetation within the Samford Peri-Urban Site between 2011 - 2013
-
The record contains information on litterfall data from four 1-hectare plots from the Great Western Woodlands site collected in 2014. Data on total litter weights from fifteen litter traps in each of four 1-ha study plots and crown canopy cover percent is provided.
-
Destructive sampling of 47 Eucalyptus obliqua trees was carried out in the Warra Tall Eucalypt site to determine a range of biomass measures that can be used to inform allometric equations.
-
This data contains stem diameter, height measurement, basal area and above ground living biomass calculations for all stems ≥10cm diameter at breast height located in the Litchfield Savanna site.
-
This data contains stem diameter, height measurement and above ground living biomass calculations for a Mallee Eucalypt dominated woodland from 2015 - present. Diameter and height measurements for stems were sampled within the core 1 ha plot within the Calperum Mallee site.
-
The dataset comprises calculations of diameter, height, volume, biomass (total and carbon) of all stems (dead or alive) > 10cm diameter at breast height in the Core 1-ha plot at the Warra Tall Eucalypt site
-
This data contains stem diameter, height measurement and above ground living biomass calculations for a Stringybark Eucalypt dominated woodland. Diameter and height measurements for stems ≥10cm diameter at breast height were sampled in 2014 and 2018 within the core 1 ha plot within the Wombat Stringybark Eucalypt site.
-
This data contains diameter, volume and biomass measurements of all coarse woody debris pieces within the core 1 ha plot at the Tumbarumba Wet Eucalypt site in 2015.
-
The diameter and breast height and mortality status of woody vegetation was surveyed within 33 one-hectare plots in Karawatha Peri-Urban site between 2009 and 2010.
