Gather information on the flora and fauna of the proposed new mining area surrounding the existing Beverley Mine Lease to allow for the compilation of a new EIS that will allow mining over an increased area. 100 x 100 m quadrat with Jessup Transect were sampled at each of the 25 photopoint sites. Fauna monitoring used 10 of the photopoint sites selected for the vegetation survey. Two traplines sampled per site. Survey conducted in 2006. The Beverley Uranium Mine EIS Survey is part of the Biological Survey of South Australia Program which is a series of systematic surveys conducted across the state between 1971 and the present with the broad aim of providing a baseline inventory of South Australia's flora and fauna biodiversity.

Witjira National Park Dalhousie Mound Springs survey conducted by Scientific Expedition Group (SEG) in 2003. Expedition Witjira 2003 was a major collaboration between the SEG, DEH and NPWS. The main objective was to conduct a biodiversity survey of the area, particularly the mound springs, to observe any differences between the springs with original vegetation and those where feral date palms are invading the springs.Other objectives were to search for rare rodents, Kowari and marsupial Moles ans survey for feral animals. Report available - Expedition Witjira Interim Report: 12th-26th July, 2003 - A Biodiversity Survey of the Mound Springs and Surrounding Area (Spiral bound) Edited by Janet Furler, Edited by Richard Willing. This survey is part of the Biological Survey of SA programme run by the Biological Survey & Monitoring group in DEH. Survey areas defined in a DEH spatial layer managed by DEH Environmental Information Group. Objectives were to carry out a general biological survey in an area with very little information previously available and to try and begin the preparation of a vegetation map for parts of the Strzelecki Desert (concentrating on the Callabonna 1:250000 mapsheet). Visit period 13 SEP 1990 - 25 SEP 1990: Vegetation and Vertebrate survey Visit period 1 AUG 1990 - 12 SEP 1990: Photopoints only The Strzelecki Survey is part of the Biological Survey of South Australia Program which is a series of systematic surveys conducted across the state between 1971 and the present with the broad aim of providing a baseline inventory of South Australia's flora and fauna biodiversity.
