- <p>Bird surveys were conducted at the Calperum Mallee site between 2012 - 2014. Bird surveys were conducted in 40 plots, covering a total of 20 km<sup>2</sup>, using the <a href="https://birdata.birdlife.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Survey-Techniques-Guide.pdf">Birdlife Australia survey technique</a> from the Birdlife Australia Atlas Project. All birds either seen or heard were recorded within each plot for a duration of 20 mins.</p>
